[longdash]30 subjects were given training by means of a procedure developed in a previous expt. in order to produce an auditory hallucination of a 1000-cycle tone. The 16 subjects who gave hallucinatory responses were given 20 test trials in which the cue stimulus (light) was presented, but the tone was omitted. No indication of exptl. extinction was found in either frequency, latency, nor duration of response. None of the evidence obtained indicates functional relationships different from those to be expected on the basis of results of previous motor conditioning expts.
