Abstract
Diffraction of cylindrical waves by a conducting cylinder clad by an anisotropic plasma is treated. Both electric and magnetic current filaments are considered as sources. The filament source may be located either inside or outside of the plasma region. A radiation pattern is computed for the magnetic current source located on the conducting cylinder parallel to the cylinder axis. The beam from such a radiator is sharper than that in the isotropic case and it is deflected by the static magnetic field which is applied to the plasma region. Keywords
