Abstract
The injector for the Stanford Two-Mile Linear Accelerator has been designed to achieve optimum bunching, optimum beam optics and flexible operational control of beam parameters. A test injector has achieved 5-degree bunching and 10-2 mc-cm area in the X-PX plane. Keywords
