Abstract
To relate endocrine disorders to changes in "temperament" 36 hyperthyroid patients were given speed of tapping, auditory reaction-time, visual reaction-time, time estimation, and leg-lift persistence tasks before and after anti-thyroid therapy. There was a significant improvement on all tasks. Initial performance was inferior to a group of miscellaneous patient controls and to "normal" student controls.
