Abstract
Summary Eleven patiens with lung carcinoma, unsuitable for surgery and for radiation therapy, were treated with combined chemotherapy in the form of cyclophosphamide and 5-fluorouracil. Three patients experienced an objective improvement. Some signs of bone marrow depression and/or gastrointestinal toxicity were observed in all cases. The combination of these two agents, at the dosage used in this study, does not seem better than the treatment with an alkylating agent, utilized alone at usual therapeutic doses.
