Abstract
Published data (Feltham and Myers 1963) on the second stage, minimum creep rate of β-cobalt have been analysed for stress and temperature dependence. Three distinct stress functions and activation energies connected by regions of transition were found which behaved as parallel or additive processes over the temperature range of 450 to 750°C. The transition regions were found to have a stress and temperature dependence which could be empirically described. Keywords
