Abstract
Detailed specific-heat measurements between 1.1 and 52 K on the Heisenberg linear-chain system CsMn · 2O are reported. The results could be interpreted with the aid of newly developed theoretical estimates for the magnetic contribution and a lattice contribution characteristic for a chemically layered compound. A value of K is obtained, which will be compared with the results from other studies.
