Abstract
Network equations for finite and extended superconducting arrays are studied in the presence of external currents. Critical currents are obtained for typical network geometries. In the presence of a magnetic field, the critical currents are shown to be very sensitive to the underlying topology of the network. This is illustrated through explicit calculations on an extended square network. Our results are compared with some preliminary critical current measurements performed on a square array made of submicronic indium wiresKeywords
