Abstract
An experimental study is presented that attempted to produce permanent tympanic membrane perforations in guinea pigs. Perforations of the tympanic membrane of various sizes were created surgically and the margins of these perforations were treated with a physical or chemical agent to prevent closure. Although a delay in closure of the perforations was achieved, permanent patency was not obtained. This publication has 8 references indexed in Scilit:
