Abstract
N-Ethoxycarbonylaziridines 2 undergo smooth thermal transformation into 1,3-oxazolidin-2-ones 3 on flash pyrolysis by a tandem reaction sequence equivalent to direct insertion of CO2 into the parent 1H-aziridine.Keywords
