Abstract
This paper is concerned with the quasi-steady temperature distribution of a solid cylinder which rotates about its geometric axis, arbitrarily inclined to the incoming parallel radiation. The differential equation for the temperature with a linearized boundary condition is solved by the method of Green’s functions. The numerical results for the case of an aluminum alloy cylinder indicated only small temperature variations for all angular velocities.Keywords
