Abstract
Structure and dynamism in French regions. A systematic diagram. Analysis and mapping of the broad lines of French spatial organization demonstrate the fundamental role of two gradients on a European scale, the more important being associated with the position of the "Rhenish axis". From this follows the appearance of a "frontier axis" in the middle of the French zone. The poles of attraction or repulsion intervene at lower levels.L'analyse et la cartographie des grands traits de l'organisation de l'espace français montrent le rôle fondamental de deux gradients à l'échelle européenne, dont le principal est associé à la position de 1' « axe rhénan ». L'apparition, au milieu de l'espace français, d'un « axe-frontière », en découle. Les pôles, attractifs ou répulsifs, interviennent à des niveaux inférieurs.Brunet Roger.
