Abstract
We present the case of a 30-yr old runner with amenorrhoea. She developed skeletal problems including low bone density and stress fractures. She then developed a (presumed) osteoporotic fracture of the proximal humerus. This is the first case report of such a fracture in a woman with athletic amenorrhoea and demonstrates that this disorder should not be regarded as a benign condition. Keywords
