Abstract
Efficient second‐harmonic generation of light, where the wave‐vector‐matching condition is satisfied noncollinearly or two‐dimensionally, has been observed using a Nd:YAG laser as a fundamental and LiIO3 as a nonlinear crystal. The phase‐matching condition has been found to be satisfied in a wide range of the angle around the optic axis of the crystal. Keywords
