Abstract
The authors present 5p excitation spectra for Cs atoms adsorbed on other alkali metals. The spectra near threshold vary systematically with coverage and substrate species. Sharp threshold edges occur only for coverages above one monolayer where the adsorbate spectra resemble that of pure Cs.Keywords
