Abstract
Two instruments have been developed for measuring the thermoluminescence of LiF. The ``clinical reader,'' suitable for routine clinical use, is simple and convenient to use. It has a standard deviation of from 1 to 5% and its components cost approximately $500. The ``research reader'' is more versatile and produces glow curves. Both readers use a 35‐mg sample of loose powder and can be used with a variety of thermoluminescent materials. Keywords
