Chronic Neurological Sequelae of Acute Trauma to the Spine and Spinal Cord

Abstract
The three cases herein reported demonstrate that early careful surgical removal of foreign bodies from the spinal canal with associated preoperative and Postoperative antibiotic therapy is desirable in order to prevent chronic infection or increased bone overgrowth with its attendant spinal-cord compression.
