Lactic and Pyruvic Acid Relations in Frog Muscle

Abstract
The ratio of concn. of pyruvic acid to lactic acid in frog muscle was essentially constant in resting muscle at 1-2[degree] C, resting muscle at 20[degree] C , and after 15 or 30 sec. tetanus under essentially anerobic conditions at 20[degree] C. Factors other than the ratio of oxidized to reduced DPN are apparently operative in maintaining this constant ratio.
