Abstract
Multinucleated giant cells develop in the alga M. caldariorum after x-ray irradiation, there being a rapid increase in max. size with increase in dose up to 15000 r; with further increase in dose a more gradually descending curve and probably asymptotic approach to normal value with very large doses. The growth curve of the cells after radiation was normal up to 15000 r, irregular with larger doses.
