Deuteron-Nucleus Collisions in a Multi-Phase Transport Model

  • 8 January 2003
Abstract
Using a multi-phase transport (AMPT) model, we study global observables in deuteron-gold collisions at RHIC. In particular, we present predictions on the centrality dependence of the pseudo-rapidity distributions of charged particles and the transverse energy, and discuss the effects due to centrality selection and possible modifications of the string fragmentation function.
