Abstract
Two recently devised Monte Carlo schemes, the force bias method and the smart Monte Carlo method are compared using a simple Lennard‐Jones fluid as an example. Using diffusion in the configuration space as a criterion, the efficiencies of the two methods are evaluated. When the diffusion is optimized the FB method is found to be more efficient.Keywords
