Studies of Anti-Horse Crystalbumin Sera

Abstract
Summary: Antisera were prepared in rabbits against horse serum crystalbumin by intravenous injections of the antigen. The optimal ratios and flocculation times of 44 antisera, reacting with homologous antigen, were determined. There was a linear relationship between the logarithms of the optimal ratios and of the flocculation times. Antisera obtained after two, after three and after four courses of injections showed the same linear relationship. It is concluded that differences in the flocculation time of individual antisera depend on quantitative and not on qualitative differences in their antibody content.
