Abstract
Suspensions of dog leukocytes were prepd. by collecting blood with di-sodium ethylenediamine tetraacetate as an anticoagulant, using certain specific dextrans for red cell sedimentation, and centrifugation of the plasma for concentration of the leukocytes. Siliconed glassware and pyrogen-free materials were used throughout. The feasibility of recir-culating up to 30% of freshly separated leukocytes from donor dogs was demonstrated in dogs with complete bone marrow aplasia induced by X-irradiation. The transfused granulocytes were shown to migrate to sites of infection. Keywords
