Abstract
Non-enolisable aldehydes (I) and active methylene compounds (II) react in the presence of tellurium(IV) tetrachloride (catalytic) to give the corresponding α, β-unsaturated carbonyl compounds (III) in excellent yields and high purity.Keywords
