Abstract
Our current knowledge of ecotoxicological parameters of pollutants is inadequate especially since a great number of potential toxic chemicals are involved. This situation makes it necessary to develop predictive techniques or methods for assessment of distribution and transformation processes of pollutants and their biological activity including toxicity. The aim of this paper is to examine and to discuss some relationships between the molecular connectivity index as a numerical descriptor of the structure of the molecule on the one hand and bioconcentrtion, sorption as well as biological activity of environmental pollutants on the other. Keywords
