Dependence of Optical-Model Parameters on Isospin

Abstract
Global optical-model parameters describing quasielastic reactions are examined. Such potentials, particularly the absorptive components, do not in general conserve isospin. A prescription is offered in an attempt to provide a guideline for deducing optical parameters which do not violate isospin.Keywords
