Abstract
The effect of intravenously infused ethanol on the splanchnic blood flow was studied for about one hour on healthy volunteers by use of the sulfobromophthalein (BSP) method. No sedation was used. The peripheral ethanol concentration ranged between 0.10 and 0.65 g/liter. There was no significant effect of the ethanol in any of the 8 studies made. Keywords
