Abstract
In mongrel dogs, a combination of 175 mg of AET and 3.5 mg of PAPP per kilogram provided 100% protection in dogs exposed to 550 r of whole-body X-irradiation and also protected 5 of 6 animals given 650 r. Some protection at 800 r was also found. Either drug alone failed to protect dogs against 550 r. The drugs were administered orally in enteric-coated intermittent-release preparations 3 to 4 hours prior to irradiation. This publication has 3 references indexed in Scilit:
