Die Tracheobronchopathia chondro-osteoplastica

Abstract
Die Tracheobronchopathia chondro-osteoplastica sensu strictori ist eine relativ seltene Erkrankung und im radiologischen Schrifttum bisher kaum bildmäßig dokumentiert. Das Krankheitsbild ist pathologisch-anatomisch exakt definiert und hat bei entsprechender Ausprägung durch die Obstruktion der Atemwege klinische Relevanz. Die Erkrankung sollte von Altersveränderungen der Trachea und Bronchien mit Verkalkung des Tracheobronchialknorpel aber ohne Wandverdickung getrennt werden. Tracheobronchopathia chondro-osteoplastica is a relatively rare abnormality, which has hardly been illustrated in the radiological literature. It has, however, been accurately defined pathologically and is of clinical significance by causing obstruction of the airways. The disease must be distinguished from changes in the trachea and bronchi due to ageing, which may be associated with calcification of the tracheal cartilage, but in which there is no thickening of the wall of the trachea.
