Abstract
Dusts containing commercially prepared Bacillus thuringiensis Berliner reduced the numbers of chicken body lice, Menacanthus stramineus (Nitzsch); shaft lice, Menopon gallinae (L.); and wing lice, Lipeurus caponis (L.), on white leghorn hens treated by direct application or by using dust-bath boxes. One or more direct applications of 3.5 g of dust per bird controlled lice effectively; dust-bath boxes containing 75 g B. thuringiensis per 5.5 kg sand provided incomplete control. This publication has 2 references indexed in Scilit:
