Abstract
A short review of the development and the state of the art of integrated optical parametric devices for nonlinear optical frequency conversion is given. The special aspects for phase matching and field overlap in waveguide devices are discussed. Material systems used for second-order nonlinear effects are reviewed. Finally, resonant Ti:LiNbO3devices for second-harmonic generation and parametric oscillation are presented and discussed in more detail. Keywords
