Case Report of Carbamazepine Treatment of Organic Brain Syndrome with Psychotic Features

Abstract
Impaired cognitive function in the presence of psychotic symptoms is often difficult to diagnose and treat. Carbamazepine, in a longitudinally controlled fashion, improved orientation, memory, and psychotic symptoms in a patient with previously diagnosed bipolar illness and multi-infaret dementia.
