Abstract
Organic chemicals such as pesticides and antibiotics are among the most useful tools available for improving the general health of animals and hence, food production. Also, organic chemicals in the form of food additives have been used extensively, and now, the waste management technology is lagging behind the fast rate of advance in animal production. Thus, chemically rich feedlots have now become serious environmental problems, and much research remains to be done to establish the extent to which these chemicals have directly or indirectly affected the sediments and run‐offs from these feedlots.
