Abstract
The intent of augmenting sport fish populations is usually to meet the socioeconomic needs of a community. In some cases, values other than angler desires must be taken into consideration when species management decisions are made. This paper describes a situation where the existence of a biological curiosity, a dwarf landlocked Arctic char, caused a management dilemma when a lake trout sport fishery was managed for increased angler demand.
