Extrinsic calibration of single-scanline range sensor

Abstract
Built-in calibration of a range sensor may leave scaling and shifting errors in the scanner readings. A semiautomatic additional calibration procedure for a single-scanline range sensor is described. In the proposed procedure, a reference object located in the origin of the world coordinate system is utilized. A 3 X 3 mapping transformation matrix is used as a post-processor to correct scanner readings.© (1995) COPYRIGHT SPIE--The International Society for Optical Engineering.
