Abstract
Resonant fluxon propagation on an overlap‐geometry Josephson tunnel junction of length 5lJ having a McCumber bc = 5r and a variable resistive load at one end is studied by numerical integration of the circuit equations of a 50‐section lumped RSJ‐type model. The optimum load resistance for maximum power transfer is 4–10 times the (linear) characteristic impedance of the junction. With optimum loading, such a junction should be able to furnish at least 1 nW of microwave power. This publication has 2 references indexed in Scilit:
