Abstract
Various methods for the extraction of choline acetyltransferase (acetyl-CoA-choline O-acetyltransferase, EC 2.3.1.6) from immature human placenta (18-28 weeks of gestation) are described. The crude enzyme was stable at -18[degree] and +4[degree] under a variety of conditions. Purification methods, including (NH4)2SO4 fractionation, gel filtration on various grades of Sephadex and diethylaminoethyl-Sephadex fractionation yielded a preparation of high specific activity. This publication has 13 references indexed in Scilit:
