Breakdown of free-spin-wave theory in two-dimensional films of Co on Cu/(100)

Abstract
We show that free-spin-wave theory predicts magnetic properties of two-dimensional films of Co in contradiction with experimental results. A renormalization-group scheme, accounting for the interaction between the spin waves, must be invoked.Keywords
