Abstract
Individual-based models simulate populations and communities by following individuals and their properties. They are well suited to incorporating spatial landscapes in a realistic manner and simulating complex behaviors in populations. This article describes such a spatially explicit model for ungulate grazers. This Recommendation is of an article referenced in an F1000Prime Report also written by Donald L. DeAngelis and Volker Grimm.
