Abstract
GSR, respiration rate, pulse rate, finger volume, and blood pressure measures were recorded for male Ss exposed to sound-stressor and cold-pressor-test situations. 6 groups, formed on the basis of intelligence (feebleminded, normal, and gifted) and age (6 yrs. and 16 yrs.) were used. Younger and less intelligent Ss recovered autonomically from stressors more rapidly than older and more intelligent Ss. Less intelligent Ss made "sharper discriminations at the autonomic level" between the different stimuli than did more intelligent Ss. From Psyc Abstracts 36:02:2HN33V.
