Abstract
Presentation of CaseA 6 1/2-year-old girl was admitted to the hospital because of status epilepticus.The patient was the only child of a mother 30 years old at delivery and a father 35 years old. The child was delivered by cesarean section, reportedly because she was 31 days overdue. Her early growth and development were normal, and her immunizations were up to date. She was well until three weeks before entry, when a sore throat and headache developed, with a temperature of 37.2°C.
