Masses ofBr74andBr76

Threshold energies for the ${}_{}{}^{74}{}_{}{}^{}\mathrm{Se}(p, n){}_{}{}^{74}{}_{}{}^{}\mathrm{Br}$ and ${}_{}{}^{76}{}_{}{}^{}\mathrm{Se}(p, n){}_{}{}^{76}{}_{}{}^{}\mathrm{Br}$ reactions were obtained from excitation functions of low lying excited levels in ${}_{}{}^{74,76}{}_{}{}^{}\mathrm{Br}$ and the first excited level in ${}_{}{}^{74}{}_{}{}^{}\mathrm{Se}$. The ground state threshold results of 7.805 ± 0.015 and 5.815 ± 0.015 MeV, respectively, yield mass excesses of -65.302 ± 0.015 MeV for ${}_{}{}^{74}{}_{}{}^{}\mathrm{Br}$ and -70.303 ± 0.015 MeV for ${}_{}{}^{76}{}_{}{}^{}\mathrm{Br}$. Results are compared to published values which are in error by 100-180 keV.
