Abstract
DURING the past two years, nine separate investigations have presented evidence that tobacco smoking is associated with the development of bronchiogenic carcinoma.1 2 3 4 5 6 7 8 9 Studies by Wynder and Graham2 and Doll and Hill,7 both based on personal interviews with over 600 patients with cancer of the lung, in particular were in close agreement quantitatively as well as qualitatively.
