Abstract
Various lactobionamides and gluconamides were prepared by reaction of lactobiono- or glucono-lactones with amines. The amides were tested for their ability to chelate ferric ion in alkaline solution. Gluconamides were generally more effective chelators than corresponding lactobionamides. This publication has 4 references indexed in Scilit:
