Abstract
Extraction of benzo[a]pyrene from 12 samples of water‐soluble liquid smokes by means of a conventional liquid‐solid extraction method was compared with extraction with a supercritical fluid. Results were satisfactory for both methods, there being no significant differences between the recoveries and precisions obtained for each one. The merits and disadvantages of each extraction method are discussed. Keywords
