Polariton effects in the resonant emission of KI

Abstract
We have observed resonant emission in a KI crystal under electron irradiation similar to that obtained with U.V. excitation on the first exciton absorption band. Its properties as a function of the penetration depth of electrons in the crystal might be due to a polariton induced transparencyKeywords
