Abstract
Coprecipitation of binary Ba-Cu and ternary La-Ba-Cu and Y-Ba-Cu as carbonates has been investigated experimentally as a function of pH, concentration and temperature. Quantitative precipitation can be achieved at high pH values using a higher temperature and higher molar concentration of the salts in the solution. The results have been qualitatively explained in terms of the precipitation criteria based on conditional solubility product and side reaction coefficients. Keywords
