There has not been a sufficient amount of inbreeding done in the light horse breeds for any definite conclusions to be drawn. The only suggestion that can be made is that it is not injurious and under certain conditions may be highly beneficial. So far as the writer has been able to determine from the records there have been no conspicuous injuries caused by inbreeding in the light horse breeds. Breeders of light horses are not now inbreeding. The most improvement made in the trotting horse breed in recent years has been made by crossing the produce of Peter the Great with the produce of Axworthy.
