Abstract
The theory of pion-nucleus multiple scattering is developed in the fixed nucleon approximation, using a separable form for the pion-nucleon matrices. The solution of the set of equations represents multiple scattering to all orders. The extension of the theory to describe charge-exchange pion scattering is discussed.
