Abstract
Five species of algae are reported, 4 of them are new for the Meditteranean: Laurencia microcladia Kutzing, Dipterosiphonia dendritica (C. Agardh) Schmitz, Polystrata fosliei (Weber Van Bosse) Denizot, Leathesia difformis (L.) Areschoug. Desmarestia viridis (O.F. Mull.) Lamouroux, reported in 1849 from the Adriatic, has not been mentioned since. The Rhodophyta collected are described, especially the morphological, structural and phenological characteristics of L. microcladia Kutzing. Ecological conditions of collecting localities are given together with their phytogeographical implications.
